Progress Sheets to Move to the Next Rank
Progress sheets are what we use to keep track of a student’s progress so they may move on to the next rank. There are various factors that determine when your progress sheet will be available to you. These include (but not limited to) the age of student, # of minimum class hours for the rank, and tournament requirements, if applicable.
An email will be sent to you when your progress sheet is available for you to work on with a black belt. The sheet has all skills you need to know in order to move to the next rank.
To work on a progress sheet in-person, ask the instructor to pull your sheet out. The black belt will ask you to demonstrate the skill and will sign off the ones that are satisfactory. Progress sheets remain at the studio. Once this sheet is completed and all requirements have been met, you will then be eligible to test at our next color belt examination. Color belt testings take place monthly, on the second Friday of every month.
Note: A black belt can review your progress sheet during a class that you are not attending. Please wait in the front of the room until the black belt can assist you. The black belts will be available during the first 15 minutes of the class. They will not be able to review your progress sheet if you show up 15 minutes after the class has started.
