Point Sparring - Allows competitors to be more strategic in their strikes for points and eliminates multiple attacks.

General Rules

Competition will be conducted following the ITF system:

Competition is open to all ranks. All competitors must have sparring gear to participate. 

• Points: Flyingkicktohead:3points;flyingkicktothebody,flyinghandtechniquetotheheador standing kick to the head: 2 points; hand technique to the boy or head, foot technique to the body: 1 point.
  Competition is open to all ranks. All competitors must have sparring gear to participate. This includes head gear, hand gear, foot gear, mouthguard. For male competitors, they must also have athletic supporters. Shin guards are optional.

• Approved safety equipment is required (Dipped foam equipment):

  • Headgear

  • Handgear

  • Footgear

  • Mouthguard

  • Athletic supporter (Males)

  • Shinguard (optional)

• Brackets are grouped by age, gender, weight and rank (These are not guaranteed and students will be matched according to appropriate size and age group)

• Contact:  Light contact will be observed for the event.

• The fees: Early registration (up to and including 3/15):: $15Registration fee after 3/15: $20. There is no at-door registration.

  On-line registration closes on Mar. 18th, midnight. No refund of fees after Mar. 18th.
