Assisting Opportunities

Black stripes and above are required to complete assisting hours in the studio before being eligible to test for the next rank. To see each rank’s assisting hour requirements, please advise the “rank requirements” under the student resource.

Read below for the policies and responsibilities of assistants.

Black Stripes

• Responsibilities

  1. Writing down student ID numbers at the end of class

  2. Helping students one-on-one in the back for 3-4 minutes

  3. Actively encouraging and helping students in class with their technique

• Policies

  • Assisting in color belt tests - Students must reach out to Mrs. Jue via email or Slack to request assisting opportunities

  • Assisting in tournaments - Students must reach out to Mrs. Jue via email or Slack to request assisting opportunities

Black Belts

• Responsibilities

  1. Signing off progress sheets

  2. Writing down student ID numbers at the end of class
