Approved Sparring Gear

Students can purchased approved gear at Jue’s Taekwon-Do or anywhere else as long as the gear meets the approved criteria.

Any gear that does not fit this criteria or is not included on the list must be approved by the instructor before. The instructor holds the right to not allow non-approved gear.

Enclosed Hand gear

- All fingers are enclosed
- Gloves do not have additional weight (boxing gloves are not allowed)
- Soft foam only

Footgear

- Toes must be completely covered
- Protection must be provided from all sides, except for the bottom
- Soft foam only

Headgear

- Face is open with the sides and back enclosed
- Soft foam only

Groin Protector

** Boys only **
- Groin protectors may be worn under or over the pants

Shinguards

- Soft foam only; no plastic or metal shinguards are allowed

Mouthguard

- Mouthguard must fit comfortably in the mouth
