Kick Boxing

Friday May 28th - no 8 pm class
Saturday, Sunday and Monday 9 am class only.

Taekwon-Do

Open Gym this Friday, May 28th from 4 pm - 7 pm. Get your progress sheet signed off.

Other notes:

- No class on May 29th or May 31st (memorial weekend)
- Color that are old enough and like to go train with our Black Belts in Reno on May 29th, please let me know, you'll probably like the experience.

June:

- Color Belt test June 4th 4:30 pm, 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm
- Testing application due July 1st
- Black Belt Test June 19th
- No class on June 19th

July:

- ITF World Championship - Korea July 4th to July 8th
- Open Gym July 2nd
- No class July 2nd - July 5th
- Due to the absence of Master Jue and many black belts in July, there will be no color belt test.

August:

- Color Belt Test August 6th

Former Black belt to visit

Mr. Jonathan Gochoco, I Dan came to visit and work out with our black belts. Mr. Gochoco currently lives in New Jersey and had previously trained with me for about 5 years and obtain an ITF 1st Dan certification.... Currently training on the East Coast and was recently promoted to 1st Dan in the WTF.

Interesting talking to him about his current school and his ITF training.... He’s job brings him out to the west coast a few times a year now and we can expect to see him again in the future.

Thanks for coming Mr. Gochoco, next time bring Jaclyn...

Solvang Century - 100 miles

Saturday morning, 7:30 am and ready to ride our group’s first century. The day started out cold and windy, although the cold is different than it is up north - its not as cold... The guys didn’t believe that at all.

The event was well organized and plenty of Police Officers to help control the traffic. It was nice to have all of the SAG station for a little water, porta potty and cookie breaks.

What was interesting to me was that when they say cycling is a team sport, I totally agree. I not sure how I’d fair if it wasn’t for our group. Paul, Erika, Neil, Debbie, Eileen. Didn’t see Dina, but she camped out before the ride. I wasn’t about to rough it before riding... Need that hot shower and bed... 50 miles into this ride my legs started cramping up. Like needles being stabbed in the legs. Was wondering if I would be able to continue, but somehow manage to stay with the group. The scariest part of the ride was coming down off this little climb going around 40 miles an hour and hitting some rough road. My bike was bouncing everywhere, I was worried I’d fall off... Backed off on the speed.

The most difficult part of the ride was the head wind, from start to almost the finish. All I could think of was a four letter word during the ride... (cold).

Well that’s done and now to take on another challenge and to get more guys to come out... Very fun.

West Coast Open 2008

2007 Jr. & Sr. ITF World Championships

Congratulations to Team Jue! In the 2007 World Championships in Birmingham, England, Team Jue did a phenominal job! Although the competition was fierce, our competitors gave 110% and came back with many medals!
